What is NDIR? NDIR is a gas sensing device —— based on the selective absorption characteristics of the near infrared spectrum of different gas molecules. - ( Lambert-Beer law）The relationship between the gas concentration and the absorption intensity is used to identify the gas components and determine the concentration of the gas components.

Compared with other kinds of gas sensors, such as electrochemical type, catalytic combustion type, semiconductor type and so on. It has a wide range of applications, long service life, high sensitivity, good stability, suitable for many gases, high performance-price ratio, low maintenance cost, etc. Online analysis and so on a series of advantages. It is widely used in petrochemical industry, metallurgical industry, mining, air pollution detection, agriculture, medical and health fields.

Advantages and Disadvantages：

Advantages : It has a wide range of applications,such as CO2,CH4,and other HC gases. High detection accuracy, safe and non-toxic, less interference by the environment, longer service life, independent of oxygen, etc.

Disadvantages: Manufacturing costs are high
